Paris Saint-Germain moved five points clear of the French league with a 3-1 win over Montpellier on Wednesday.
Sergio Ramos and Kylian Mbappe were both injured in the first half, while Neymar was ruled out entirely with muscle fatigue. World Cup winner Lionel Messi has scored.
Mbappe’s knee seemed to twist slightly when he was fouled early in the first half against Montpellier. Mbappé went down clutching his leg just under the right knee and limped off in the 21st minute.
Christophe Galtier told broadcaster Canal Plus that:
Mbappe “took a blow behind the knee”, adding at his news conference the injury did not appear serious.
“We don’t know yet. It doesn’t look very serious,” Galtier said. “We’re not too worried.”
